Richland Shield Crime Alerts!

Your HOA has joined the new Richland Shield which is what we call the new age Neighborhood Watch Program. It is up and running and we have just received alert updates for our Zone 1 area and wanted to share them with you. None were in Applewood Estates. Thank you to those who who call the police when they see suspicious people or activity and inform the HOA when street lights go out or there is a safety issue. It is a neighborhood effort!
We encourage you as a homeowner to join so you can get these crime updates by email with more details. Another benefit of the program is the opportunity to network with others within the community with similar concerns. Police officers can see your posts in real time as they patrol. Attached is a theft brochure and please try to keep your vehicles off the street, lock your car doors and keep valuables out of sight. Here are the most recent updates:
Burglary (1/18/13) - 1700 Blk Leslie Rd
Two televisions stolen overnight at the apartment complex. One from the common area and one from the exercise room.
Theft from Vehicle (1/20/13) - 200 Blk Silverwood Ct
Vehicle window shattered and I-Pad stolen
*Very Important to remove valuables from plain sight
Theft from Vehicle (1/20/13) - 1800 Blk Sagewood Lp
Theft of I-Phone and money change from Vehicle stolen
*Very Important to lock your doors!
Theft from Vehicle (1/21/13) - 1800 Block of Sagewood Lp
Vehicle window broken out and wallet taken. Wallet was recovered on walking path behind Club 24.
*Very Important to remove valuables from plain sight
Theft from Vehicle (1/21/13) - 1600 Block of Saratoga Ct
Vehicle Prowl to an unlocked vehicle but nothing taken.
*Very Important to lock your vehicle doors.
Burglary (1/25/13) - 1200 Block of Jubilee St
Garage was entered by an unknown subject and items are missing. This occurred over the span of 3 weeks.
Theft from Vehicle (1/24/13) - 300 Block of Greenbrook Pl
Vehicle unlawfully entered and change and CDs were stolen
