New Neighborhood School
Posted on Jan 16th, 2013

Your HOA has some very good news regarding a new elementary school in our neighborhood but it is not a done deal yet!  The Richland School District (RSD) has completed a sale agreement for the land and future site of a neighborhood elementary school but there are two things that will have to happen...

Land Change Needed
Applewood and Brantingham Greens have signed the land use agreement which lifts the covenant restrictions to the land surrounding the Badger Mountain Ranch Apartments.  Lifting these restrictions allows the Richland School District to submit a request for a zoning change to R-1-10 which is needed for the school.  This zoning change will be subject to the city process and public hearing which the HOA will support.  Some homeowners will be receiving notices and we encourage you all to send the City and Planning Commission positive comments as well as any concerns.  If the RSD is successful in obtaining the zoning change, they will be able to move forward and complete the purchase and sale agreement for the land.

RSD Bond Must Pass
A neighborhood school for our community development will eliminate young children from being bussed away to others schools in the district and will significantly enhancing the overall salability of our homes.  This is very important in keeping and improving home values.  However, the school will NOT be built until a bond is passed to provide the necessary funding.  Please read the below information about the details of the Bond by clicking HERE

Please help us and pass this information on to friends/family and encourage them to vote before February 12th.
