Citizens Academy

The 2013 Citizens' Academy is now accepting applications!
The Citizens' Academy, provided by the Richland Police Department, runs from January to March every year. The academy provides information about the operation and programs of the police department and the local criminal justice system.
The Citizens' Academy will give you a better understanding of police operations in our community. It allows police officers, as well as other members of the criminal justice system, an opportunity to hear your perception of how our department is serving your needs.

- Juvenile justice
- Metro Drug Task Force
- Patrol procedures

Applications are available at the Richland Police Department, 871 George Washington Way, Richland Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Due to the sensitive nature of some of the material presented, persons wishing to attend will have to successfully pass a limited background check. Click HERE for the application.
