The HOA has received some information from the Richland Police Department (RPD) regarding criminal activity in South Richland.  Although this activity is occurring east of our location, we should all be vigilant to be on the lookout and report any suspicious vehicles, people or behavior immediately by calling 911.

   

Since Friday, July 13th, There has been 9 burglaries (2 of them occupied residential) and 1 vehicle prowl that is likely the same suspect.  These have centered around the area east of Hills West, and one on Venus Cr and two on Rockwood.  The vehicle prowl occurred because a purse was left in the truck.  Most of the burglaries had the suspect enter from a garage doors/garage side doors that were unlocked/unsecured.  A few are from unlocked back patio doors. 

 

It is important for everyone to lock their doors. 

Further you must remove your valuables from vehicles and lock your vehicles as more than 70% of all vehicle prowls are from un-locked vehicles.  They continue to investiage and conduct extra patrol but sent this information to local HOAs due to the concerned the suspect is entering occupied homes.  Here are the locations and synopsis of some:

 

• Residential Burglary – 1400 Block Oxford, occurred the 12th to the 13th from the hours of 0000 to 0500 and a purse was taken.

 

• Vehicle Prowl – 100 Block Oregon, occurred the 12th to the 13th from the hours of 2200-0900 and a purse was taken.

 

• Residential Burglary - 400 Block Adair Drive, occurred the 15th to the 16th from the hours of 2300 to 0600, 2 purses, cash, credit cards, and an I-pad was taken.

 

• Residential Burglary – 1300 Blook Oxford, no details at this time, the call just came in.

 

• Residential Burglary - occurred in Heritage Hills, no address or further details, just getting the info.
