Annual HOA Meeting
Posted on Feb 21st, 2012

The annual meeting of the Applewood Estates Homeowners Association (AEHA) membership was held at Bethel Church in Richland.  The 2011 AEHA membership meeting minutes were approved and there was a long discussion regarding the land use lawsuit and proposed Badger Mt. apartment complex.  The Board provided an overview of the HOA actions associated with the complex and gave a time-line of key activities to date.

The HOA have spent a total of $31,838.00 which is $156 per home.  The Board recommended a vote for a one-time special assessment of one-hundred and fifty dollars ($150) per home to recover most of the legal costs and to replenish the reserve fund consistent with the established reserve guidelines.  The Board emphasized that these funds were not intended to cover additional LUPA appeal, but may be used for that if the AEHA approves a future action.

A motioned was made and a ballot vote was conducted.  The resulting count indicated that of the forty-three (43) votes, five (5) were not in favor.  Considering the twenty-three (23) proxies, twenty (20) were voted as being in favor, three (3) opposed, for a total count of fifty-eight (58) for, eight (8) opposed, representing an 87% approval.
