Yard Waste Pickup
Posted on Mar 20th, 2012

Beginning March 5, crews will start servicing residential curbside yard waste containers on a bi-weekly schedule. Containers must be the curb by 7 am on the regular garbage day for service.

Main Information
The City of Richland has added the collection of organic yard waste at the curb to basic residential garbage services.  Households, except apartments and condos, are provided one green yard waste can for the basic monthly fee.

Additional containers are available for an extra $2.00 per month, with a one year commitment, and can be requested on-line or by calling 942-7700. Yard waste is collected separately from garbage, every other week on your normal collection day.  Each year collection begins the first full week of March and ends the last week of November.  Containers need to be placed at the curb on the regular collection day by 7am for service.

Each December, a new collection schedule for the coming year is inserted with residential utility bills.  Each spring and fall, drop boxes will be placed in Richland neighborhoods for the collection of bulky and excess yard debris. Watch for notifications.
