FLU SEASON… It is that time of the year again!

 

Your HOA wanted to share a website for information regarding both types of influenza.  It is a great resource and can answer many questions you may have.  This is the same website that was given out to all employees of Kadlec Regional Medical Center.  The website is:  http://www.flu.gov

 

 

Flu refers to illnesses caused by a number of different influenza viruses. Flu can cause a range of symptoms and effects, from mild to lethal. There are two strains of flu, seasonal flu and the H1N1 (Swine) flu, that are currently circulating in the United States. A third, highly lethal H5N1 (Bird) flu is being closely tracked overseas. Most healthy people recover from the flu without problems, but certain people are at high risk for serious complications.

 

Check out the website for information about the flu, vaccinations, prevention, parents (& expecting), seniors, and travelers. Please remember that getting your flu shot and washing your hands are your best defenses to help keep you and our family healthy.
