KID Water to be Off 3-4 Days!
Posted on May 31st, 2011
Too much winter runoff debris is forcing the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation to shut down water at the Chandler Canal on Tuesday evening.
That means diversions into the Kennewick Irrigation District's main canal below Prosser Dam will be off for several days while bureau staff removes accumulated debris from fish screens.
Water for Applewood Estates and KID's 21,000 customers is expected to be off for up to four days until restored flows reach all areas of the district. We will have some extra time and water due to our pond located near Westcliff Blvd and Meadow Hills Dr but not much.
