As most of you know by now, the Wolff Co. will apply for a major amendment, then have a scheduled City Planning Commission meeting in an open public forum. The date for this process is unknown but we anticipate it being held in June or July. The Planning Commission would then give a recommendation to the City Council. At that time, the city would make a final decision on the land use change approving or denying the apartment complex plan.

 

The Wolff Co. did appeal the court's ruling and also filed that appeal with the Washington State Court of Appeals on March 31st. They also filed a motion for an accelerated review of the case. The Court of Appeals denied the Motion to Accelerate. The HOA’s briefing is due in the normal course, and the hearing will be set on a docket in September or October.

 

We hope to have the above City Planning Commission meeting and City Council vote before the appeal.
