Annual Meeting Update!
Posted on Feb 6th, 2022
Good morning. The HOA would like to thank every homeowner that was able to attend and participate in our annual meeting to including those who sent in their proxy. The meeting structure was a first for Applewood with an election ballot and understand it evoked a variety of emotions.
We also want to thank everyone that provided feedback, concerns, and desires to make our community a better place. We value each and every one of you. This desire to improve the Applewood community has created a growth opportunity for the homeowner's association and the current board will strongly consider your feedback.
After the meeting, the board received an outpouring of positive responses, filled with encouraging words and continued support. We will commit to continue leading with integrity and transparency. When completed, the annual meeting minutes, PowerPoint presentation, and a link to the recorded meeting will be posted on the website.
If anyone did not get the chance to talk at the meeting or was unable to attend, please feel free to contact the HOA directly. Any questions or concerns will be addressed at the next HOA board meeting.
Annual Meeting Numbers
This was the biggest homeowner turnout with a total of 121 properties represented. There were 74 proxies/ballots turned in and 47 additional homeowners voted by attending the Zoom meeting. All proxies were counted and validated by a group of homeowners that consisted of the board members, ACC members, and a homeowner. Two board seat positions that were up for election this year (#2 and #4) were filled and the board will look to fill open board position #3.
Although there can be improvements to the process, the meeting and election were held within the HOA's governing by-laws, state law, and Robert's Rules of Order. If any homeowner would like to review the proxies or the meeting polls, please contact the HOA. We will provide an inspection but will not post or release them as a document. The voting results were as follows:
*Note: There were 121 represented, but some did not vote on all four items.
