Water Restrictions and Last Day!
Posted on Sep 24th, 2015

As of Sunday, September 20th, all restrictions on irrigation water usage has been removed.  This will remain in effect until the last day of water season which is on Sunday, October 11th.

Although we will have the ability to water at will, the HOA encourages homeowners to continue using conservation measures and prepare your lawns and landscaping in the event of a low water season in 2016.

Homeowners can consider these helpful tips to better prepare for what next season brings:
  • Watering deeply less often helps encourage a deep root system, making lawns and plants more drought hardy.
  • Remove water thirsty grass and weeds from around trees and shrubs.  This allows water to get to the roots.
  • Add mulch around trees and shrubs to help make them hold in moisture.
  • Aerate, dethatch and fertilizing your lawn makes them healthier and allows them to better absorb water.
  • If you are considering new plantings, look for drought tolerant varieties which have low water requirements.
The HOA would like to thank our homeowners who followed the watering schedules and offered their support.  You helped to make the best of this challenging drought year and it was your care and cooperation that made the difference!

Thank you!
