Help Save Our Roads

Your HOA works hard to keep weeds from growing in the cracks of the asphalt roads and along the sidewalk gutter.
 
Weeds can grow in the cracks and eventually damage the asphalt.  This damage allows water to get in for more weeds grow or freeze in the winter causing more damage.
 
To prevent this and help make Applewood Estates look its best, the HOA spray the weeds from time to time and we have noticed that some homes have more weeds than others due to the sprinkler water hitting the sidewalks or road.
 
The HOA has also seen an increase in a certain weed (see photo) which has a very thick and strong root system.  Please inspect your road and sidewalks in front of your home and maintain the weeds as often as you can.  This will help HOA volunteer time and cost.
