Applewood Remains Dry!
Posted on May 14th, 2015

Overnight rains and early morning downpours clogged drains and flooded parts of the Tri-Cities last Wednesday.  As you can see by the attached pictures, the rain created a lake in the Albersons' parking lot and flooding across Keene Road.

After Applewood was flooded by heavy rains in 2011 and 2014, your HOA and the City of Richland worked together to improve the area storm drain system.  The City made structural improvements to the system south of Applewood and both the City and HOA made culvert improvements for better drain of the west end of Applewood.

These improvement efforts worked and Applewood Estates remained unaffected by the heavy rains!  I would like to personally thank the work of the current HOA board for their insight and courage to lead this project and the City for responding to our community needs.
For more information on the storm drain improvements you can read the article in the December 2014 newsletter or click HERE.

Thank you HOA Board Members:  Dave Kobus, Bernie Beldin, Jennifer Schreiber and John Mahoney!
