Fuji Way Construction Update
Posted on Feb 15th, 2014
In the 1300 block of Fuji Way we had areas where the street formed severe alligator cracking. These areas were located where the street had low spots and where the water was able to get into the cracks and under the street. This created a frost-heave situation deteriorating the street which is a result from ice forming beneath the surface. This ice then grows vertically toward the surface pushing up the asphalt.

The city is planning to repair the street by digging out the areas and replacing the road base. They will then give it a temporary patch with cold mix until the asphalt plant gets fired up this year. It will then be replaced permanently. We want to thank all the homeowners who called to report the issue and the City for a quick response to our needs.
