Richland School Bond Approved
Posted on Feb 13th, 2013

Nearly 66% of Richland School District residents said "yes" to the $98 million bond issue on the 12th.  The bond will pay for nine facilities improvement projects to include building a new elementary school in the area just south of Applewood Estates.  This neighbor school will benefit all homeowners by keeping home values high for decades to come.

The next step for the district will be to have the land zone changed from the single family residential (R1-10) to allow the school.  The Richland Planning commission, on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, will conduct a public hearing and review the application at 7:00 pm in the Council Chambers at Richland City Hall.
